were you in 1908?
Bottle Neck Finish’s 1908.
Vintage Report 1908:
Brandy:
This year witnessed a small yield but the quality was good.
Champagne:
The vintage was disastrous. Mildew was prevalent and the grapes were gathered under bad conditions, to the year can be considered a failure.
Claret:
A fairly large return was secured, but the quality of the wines was variable; subsequent development was better than has been expected.
Hock and Moselle:
Although quite small, the quality was good.
Port:
One of the finest vintages for years occurred. The yield was average, but the wines produced were of excellent quality and possessed good colour, flavour and bodied.
